As players progress they discover new and more powerful weapons, armor, and spells, and can form a party of up to six characters (including the player character). Seeking to confront Sarevok, the characters find out that he is actually half-brother to the main character, both of whom are children of the dead Lord of Murder, Bhaal. The main character's Bhaalspawn ancestry explains much about their past and raises questions about their future. Sarevok's plans turn out be much more sinister, as the Iron Throne is just a façade for his real intentions.

The githyanki in particular feature prominently in Baldur's Gate 3, since one of your first companions is a githyanki fighter who was captured by mind flayers. The city of Baldur's Gate will feature of course, as a sprawling open city that Larian showed off not long before launch.

In an interview with Winterwind Productions, Black Hound developer Damien Foletto revealed the story and setting of the game, which would have been Baldur's Gate 3 GamePlay in the Dalelands. The player character would have been resting at their campsite when a woman chasing a Black Hound crashes in; she kills the hound, which dies on the player character 's lap. Accusing the player character of being in league with the dog, she is about to kill the player character as well, but the Riders of Archendale arrive and scare her off before questioning the player character.

Fixed a blocker where UI pop-ups wouldn't close if the window behind them was closed first. This could happen, for example, when a cinematic dialogue triggered and closed the map while you were still naming a custom marker.

Of course, you almost certainly won't see all of that in a single playthrough. Big chunks of that mass of dialogue and cinematics you'll only see after making specific choices in your playthrough. You'll need to play through again to see everything—or do a lot of save scumming.
